Mrs. Key Key’s SPEECH ROOM is a well written picture book by Keylonda Wheeler, not only an author, but also a speech pathologist. It is beautifully illustrated by Steffi Stanley. I love how this shows a glimpse into the world of Speech for students. This would be a great read aloud for students. I highly recommend Mrs. Key Key’s SPEECH ROOM.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Speech Kids Seeing Themselves Matters!

I was so excited to get this book for my little guy, who's 5, because he has bumps and sees a speech therapist a few times a month. When I came across this book I knew I needed to add it to our little library.

When we started reading it he lit up because he realized it was about kids like him. He loved it so much he took it to his speech therapy the next week and showed his speech therapist. They even read some of it together!

I asked him why he liked it and he said, "I love it because it looks like my speech therapist, and when I go to speech. And it teaches people cool stuff."

Representation Matters! For my son to see himself in a story as special as this is so important. It was so well written and beautifully illustrated! THANKS, Keylonda Wheeler!

Love this book for SLPs and parents!

This book is a MUST HAVE for elementary SLPs! It teaches kids all about what speech therapy is, and all the ways that speech pathologists help children. It’s a great book to read to kids on their first session. And bonus- it rhymes and has beautiful illustrations!
